Originally designed by Brunelleschi in 1432, as Giorgio Vasari recounts, the building that today houses The St. Regis Florence is a magnificent example of nineteenth-century architecture. The beautiful Winter Garden, with its 19th-century glass ceiling and majestic hand-blown Murano chandelier, is the heart of the Grand Hotel. On this occasion, the hotel’s tea sommelier prepares ad hoc blends based on guests’ tastes, which are served according to the authentic British style, accompanied by sweet and savory delicacies prepared by the Winter Garden chefs, including the the iconic scones, savory sandwiches and small pastries.

Every evening from 7pm, the lights dim and the sound of the piano kicks off the most romantic evenings ever. The Winter Garden restaurant, splendidly directed by Chef Gentian Shehi, begins its show by offering constantly evolving Tuscan cuisine that enhances the best seasonal raw materials.

Since its opening, the hotel has hosted princes, queens and illustrious people such as, in 2012, Madonna for the video of her single Turn Up the Radio which begins right in Piazza Ognissanti, at the entrance to The. St Regis Florence, and continues along the Lungarno Vespucci.
