Inside Palazzo San Niccolò in Florence, under the 14th-century vaults of an ancient carpenter’s workshop, the poetic and refined gastronomic project Floret La Terrazza LUISAVIAROMA has found its second, beautiful home.
Born from the sensitivity and passion of the two partners, and couple in life, Tamara Atanasyan, Luxury Brand Manager, and Maurizio Cardinali, Hospitality Manager, Floret Artisan Kitchen & Bar project is full of soul and beauty.
Starting from the choice of charming locations, in this case Palazzo San Niccolò, which become spaces devoted to the well-being of both body and soul, to the format with an international flavour that combines exotic recipes with a contemporary approach that is attentive to balanced nutrition.
Through the Floret project we gave voice to our passions: good food, travel, hospitality, and a sense of global well-being.
(Tamara Atanasyan, owner)
The first Floret opened in 2017 in the prestigious terrace of LUISAVIAROMA boutique, immediately becoming an iconic location to live an authentic experience where goodness, quality and well-being go hand in hand.
Five years later, thanks to the success of the first Floret, Tamara and Maurizio found a second location inside Palazzo San Niccolò, open from morning, for a fragrant sweet or savoury breakfast, lunch, or, until 4pm, for a pleasant afternoon break.
A large, high-vaulted room characterises Floret Artisan Kitchen & Bar flooded with natural light thanks to the glassed-in terrace, which in summer becomes an intimate garden bar. The space has been tastefully decorated by the owners themselves, recovering some of the pre-existing elements and inserting new furnishings and many plants to create a cosy and original holistic lounge.
Here, amidst tables with a vintage flavour, abat-jours, and soft velvet sofas, it is possible to enjoy a break based on the freshest and most seasonal products which, thanks to a careful study conducted together with an expert nutritionist, become delicious and perfectly balanced dishes.
The menu changes with the seasons and offers tasty, international dishes such as salmon fillet with Miso in a sesame and coconut crust, spiced chicken with yoghurt and Armenian spices, or the pastrami burger.
In addition to several wine and beer labels, the drinks menu also includes refreshing alternatives such as coconut water, kombucha and freshly prepared fruit and vegetable extracts.
Floret, in addition to having developed a line of pure extracts that can also be purchased through the bistro’s website, offers a delivery service perfect for an office lunch or Sunday brunch to be enjoyed in the comfort of your own home.
And for those wishing to embark on a path of all-round well-being, Floret supports the Casa Opy project launched by Livia Oliveira, a multicultural space located in nearby Via Sant’Egidio, where yoga sessions, sound baths, rituals and many other pampering sessions can be booked.
The Secret
The name Floret conveys the concept of continuous growth, also recalled by the letters that make up the logo, alluding to trees. This image interprets the DNA of the project, which aims to constantly evolve to offer its guests a global experience of excellence.
